The company Ericsson has summed up activity for 2008
At last press conference today in Stockholm, President and CEO of Ericsson, Mr. Carl-Henrik Svanberg announced financial results of the work in 2008, in particular, noted the continued construction of new settlements and the expansion of existing networks in Russia, as well as an overall increase in Sales in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA).
According to the company, its sales in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) has increased by 9% in 2008. There has been significant growth in business activity throughout the year in Russia, where the deployment of third generation communication systems.
Financial highlights Annual Report 2008:
• Sales volume grew by 11% and amounted to 208.9 billion Swedish kronor (31.6 billion U.S.. Dollars), compared with 187.8 billion Swedish kronor in the same period last year.
• Operating profit of the company amounted to 23.9 billion Swedish kronor (3.62 billion U.S.. Dollars), compared to 30.6 billion Swedish kronor in the same period last year
• Operating profit as a percentage was 11.4% (16.3% over the same period last year)
• Value of cash flows for the year 2008 amounted to 24.0 billion Swedish kronor (3.63 billion U.S.. Dollars), compared to 19.2 billion Swedish kronor in the same period last year.
• Net profit amounted to 11.7 billion Swedish kronor (1.8 billion U.S.. Dollars), compared to 22.1 billion Swedish kronor, from a year earlier.
• Yield per share amounted to 3.52 Swiss francs. kroner for 2008, and the city (compared to 6.84 Swiss francs. kroner a year earlier)
