HTC lowers its guidance for revenue growth in 2009, says paper
High Tech Computer (HTC) has lowered its guidance for revenue growth in 2009 amid the global economic slowdown, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
The paper quoted HTC CEO Peter Chou as saying that the company expects its revenues to grow at a double-digit rate in 2009, compared to a robust 20% growth Chou projected in a conference call last October.
However, Chou said that he is positive about HTC's prospects as consumer response to HTC's new handsets displayed at the recently concluded 2009 CES International trade show were the best in recent years, according to the paper.
