LG Electronics and NATPE Lend Support to Shade Tree Shelter
NATPE's 'LG CELEBRITY CHEF KITCHEN' FINDS NEW HOME IN LAS VEGAS
LAS VEGAS, -- Nevada's largest shelter serving women and children will now also be home to the premium appliances highlighted in the "LG Celebrity Chef Kitchen" at the 2009 National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Market & Conference, which concludes here today.
Donated to The Shade Tree by sponsor LG Electronics and trade show producer NATPE, the $10,000 stainless steel kitchen package includes a French Door refrigerator, Steam Dishwasher(TM), built-in double oven and cooktop, and microwave oven. Also included are kitchen essentials donated by Le Gourmet and kitchen cabinetry from The Home Depot. Freeman Exhibit Services is providing delivery service for the project. NATPE and LG also are donating a 52-inch LCD HDTV to the shelter. (LG is the official HDTV of NATPE '09.)

The LG Celebrity Chef Kitchen being installed at The Shade Tree was used this week by participating chefs including Charlie Palmer, Aureole; Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, Border Grill; Kerry Simon, Simon at Palms Place; Sean DiCicco, Mandalay Bay; Richard Blais and Brian Malarkey from Bravo's "Top Chef;" Paul Bartolotta, Bartolotta Ristorante; and others during the 3-day Market & Conference.
The appliances from the LG Celebrity Chef Kitchen, soon to be installed at The Shade Tree, include:
LG Double Wall Oven: The company's first built-in wall double oven (LWD3081ST) features a unique 6.3-inch touch screen control system that brings the LCD technology LG is known for throughout the house into the kitchen. This intuitive display renders knobs and buttons obsolete adding to cooking and clean-up convenience. Consumers can control all cycles and cooking options -- from setting temperatures, monitoring cooking time and more -- all with the touch of a finger. The oven's recipe bank, pre-loaded with 100 gourmet recipes across 10 food categories, can help turn anyone into a chef. With 42 of these recipes pre-programmed, cooks can simply select the recipe they desire and the oven will automatically set to the precise cooking cycle needed. With one of the largest capacities available at 4.7 cu. ft, each oven accommodates more dishes -- making meal preparation easier when cooking for the family or when entertaining. The LG exclusive convection system enables up to 30 percent faster preheat times and more even heat distribution.
LG 36-Inch Radiant Cooktop: LG has just expanded its cooking appliance line up to include new radiant electric cooktops. LG's premium 36-inch radiant cooktop (LCE3681ST) offers the perfect harmony between style and performance. This sleek, state-of-the-art cooktop offers premium looks combined with features benefiting the chef in you. Design extras such as SmoothTouch(TM) controls add greater convenience, enabling users to easily activate and control the temperature settings with the touch of a finger.
