Mio has 7-inch MID with Windows Mobile
The company Mio Technology has demonstrated a prototype MID (Mobile Internet Device), performed in a miniature form factor notebook. Unlike traditional mobile Internet devices, the prototype is running an operating system Windows Mobile 6.1. This display has a 7 inch diagonal and resolution 800h480 pixels (WVGA). A prototype of the screen is not touch-sensitive, this may change in the ultimate model.
ARM-processor Mio MID has clocked 667 MHz. GPS-supported navigation function of the communication facilities are aware of Wi-Fi. There are also connectors USB, audio output, microphone and speaker. It was expected that the battery can provide up to 8 hours on one battery.
Many details of the Mio MID is not yet known. For example, if an opportunity to work in networks, the amount of internal memory, and so on. Final specifications should be known closer to the release, some in the second quarter of 2009.
