Ericsson increases the data transfer speed HSPA network up to 42 Mbit / s
The company Ericsson said that the International Congress Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the first time, demonstrate the new HSPA-technology transfer-receiving data simultaneously on multiple carriers, allowing data transfer in a downward channel, with a maximum speed of 42 Mbps.
Technology transfer-receiving data simultaneously on multiple carriers is the next step in the evolution of networks HSPA. With it, users can obtain data simultaneously on two channels at different frequencies. This will help to double the speed of data transmission throughout the network coverage area HSPA, including the boundary cell, where, typically, the data transmission rate below. As a result, the maximum data transmission speed in a downward channel, will increase from 21 Mbit / s available to date, up to 42 Mbps. This will help significantly improve the quality of Internet access services and download a high-quality content.
During the demonstration will be conceptually new development company Ericsson - router for mobile broadband networks (Ericsson Mobile Broadband Router). The device can be used anywhere they need to have access to broadband networks, such as homes, offices and public places. Thanks to the router for mobile broadband networks from Ericsson maximum data transfer rate of 42 Mbit / s can be shared between multiple users, enabling efficient use of high-speed broadband. HSPA-technology transfer-receiving data simultaneously on multiple carriers from Ericsson will be ready for introduction into commercial operation by the end of 2009.
