AT&T Delivers Rich Musical Roots of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival to Fans via Three Screens
Exclusive Webcast of Historic 'Jazz Fest' Available on AT&T Music May 2 and 3
It’s not Mardi Gras but thousands of people from coast-to-coast are flocking to New Orleans for the second weekend of an outdoor celebration of an entirely different kind — the 40th annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. A tribute to the city’s rich cultural roots, the festival boasts 12 stages of soul-stirring jazz, gospel, Cajun, zydeco, blues, R&B, rock, funk, African, Latin, Caribbean, folk and more.
On May 2 and 3, AT&T Music will webcast the best of Jazz Fest 2009 — combining highlights of the festival’s first five days, live performances taking place May 2-3 and classic footage from the festival’s 40 year history. The complete webcast line-up will soon be available at music.att.net and includes:
Live performances from New Orleans Jazz Fest including Ben Harper and Relentless7, James Taylor, The Neville Brothers and Spoon;
highlights from Sugarland, Bonnie Raitt and Joe Cocker;
classic performances from Jimmy Buffett, Sting and Fats Domino with rare performance footage from the 2000 festival; and
much, much more.
Artists and times are subject to change. Visit AT&T Music for the most up-to-date information.
Select performances also will be made available on AT&T Music, on AT&T U-verseSM TV and through CV (Video on Demand) on AT&T* wireless devices following the festival.
“We’re thrilled to again share the legendary performers and excitement of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with fans from coast to coast,” said Dan York, executive vice president of content and programming, AT&T Converged Services. “By utilizing our three-screen content platform, we can provide fans with a front-row seat to some of their favorite artists whenever they want, wherever they want and however they want.”
