Bluetooth v3.0 passed
Group Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG), dedicated to the development of specifications for Bluetooth, reported that at its meeting held on 21 April 2009, approved the basic specifications of Bluetooth v3.0 + HS.
In comparison with the V2.1 + EDR in V3.0 + HS were introduced the following innovations and improvements:
• Protocol AMP Manager Protocol (A2MP)
• Upgrade Protocol L2CAP
• Improved retransmission regimes and streaming
• Modernization of units L2CAP channels for AMP
• Support for fixed channel
• Improved HCI interface for AMP
• Improve safety for AMP
• 802.11 Protocol Adaptation Layer
• Advanced Power Management
• Unilateral, without making a connection, data transmission (Unicast Connectionless Data)
• The HCI Read Encryption Key Size
• Basic test methodology for AMP
• Improved USB and SDIO HCI Transport
