HTC to launch Internet-enabled feature phone in 4Q09, says paper
High Tech Computer (HTC) plans to launch an Internet-enabled high-end feature phone in the fourth quarter of 2009 in order to expand its share in the global handset market, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
HTC's forthcoming feature phone is likely to base on Qualcomm's BREW Mobile Platform (BREW MP), and come with a wide range of flash applications to enable multimedia services, said the paper, noting the handset is also targeting the telecom sector.
