Inventec V112: communicator with a mini-display mirasol

At CTIA Wireless, which was held recently in Las Vegas, was shown an interesting communicator Inventec V112. He was set to stand Qualcomm. The device is a single besklaviaturny touch screen and a small auxiliary display beneath it. It is this additional small display, and is the most interesting feature of the device. It is made of technology mirasol, created by Qualcomm MEMS Technologies. Such displays have very high contrast, so that even eliminating the need for additional lighting. It is anticipated that such cost in terms of energy displays can be used to display essential information such as date and time. Thus, the inclusion of the main display is not required, thus saving battery charge.


Inventec V112 Communicator is running the operating system Windows Mobile. On the characteristics of the device at the moment, virtually nothing is known. There is only a 3-MP camera and 2.8-inch display with a resolution of VGA. It is not clear whether in the near future commercial release of this model with an additional mirasol-display, or Inventec V112 is the only working example of this technology.
