Comstar UTS is beginning to connect the caller to the wireless networks WiMAX
Operator «Comstar UTS» announced the commencement of sales of services to wireless broadband Internet access on mobile WiMAX technology in Moscow from 12 May 2009. In the first stage, users can connect to the service «Comstar-WiMAX» in all sales offices and service STRIM and «Comstar».
Construction of wireless broadband access network «Comstar-WiMAX» IEEE 802.16e standard was launched in mid-2008. At the moment, the network covers about 80% of the territory of Moscow and consists of more than 170 base stations. Testing concluded on 30 April 2009. The process of optimizing the network, including installation of additional equipment if necessary, will go for the whole of 2009. Provision of services is carried out using WiMAX backbone transport network group of companies «Comstar UTS» in Moscow.
To connect to the service need to buy WiMAX-modem connection, the value of which is 4600 rubdey, and sign a contract for services with OAO «Comstar UTS» in one of the offices and sales STRIM «Comstar UTS». When you connect you should pay the first month of service, as well as in the payment of WiMAX the system of advance payments.
