«Expocenter» - the first facility in Moscow, where the 3G network of MTS
Mobile operator MTS today announced the launch of commercial service of the first phase of its network of indoor «third-generation» (3G) in Moscow, located in the exhibition complex «Expocenter».
A permit issued today by the Office Rossvyazkomnadzora Moscow and Moscow region.
The operator reported that a fragment of 3G network covers all the pavilions at the expo center Krasnaya Presnya. Customers located in the pavilions «Expocenter», will be capable of high-speed Internet access, up to 3.6 Mbits per second, anywhere in the network 3G.
In the near future, ITT also expects to permit the commercial exploitation of 3G networks in two cities in the Moscow region - Orekhovo-Zuevo and Noginsk.
MTS promises that before the end of the summer of MTS 3G network will appear in 35 major business centers, transportation hubs and public capital, including the airport «Domodedovo», in the area of «Moscow-City», Crocus City Center International Trade, BC «Novinsky», «Alfa-Arbat-Center», «Lotte Plaza», shopping centers TSUM, «Atrium», «European», «Moscow», «Gorbushkin yard», IKEA. In addition, MTS will provide 3G connectivity Moscow offices of large enterprises, including JSC «Russian Railways», «Sberbank of Russia», AFK «system», «Sibur», «Wimm Bill Dann» and others.
MTS has received permission to launch a network of «new generation», and also at the stations and the transport of the Moscow subway. Sokolnicheskaya metropolitan subway line will become the first in which MTS launches 3G network in test operation.
