HTC expects revenues to grow 8-11% on year in 2Q09
High Tech Computer (HTC) expects its revenues to top NT$37.5-38.5 billion (US$1.14-1.17 billion) in the second quarter of 2009, up 19-22% from the previous quarter and up 8-11% from a year earlier, company CFO Hui-Ming Cheng said in an investors conference last week.
HTC's handset shipments totaled 2.4 million units in the first quarter, down 35% sequentially and down 7.7% from a year earlier, Cheng revealed.
For the first quarter, the company snapped up a net profit of NT$4.89 billion, or NT$6.56 per share, according to company data.
Meanwhile, the company has also decided to deal out a dividend of NT$27.5, including NT$27 in cash and NT$0.5 in shares, for its 2008 business performance.
