Participation in Samsung Securities Global Investors Conference

Samsung Electronics will participate in “Samsung Global Investors Conference” hosted
by Samsung Securities Co. Ltd. The conference will be held at the Shilla Hotel, Seoul,
between May 11 and May 12, 2009.

Samsung Electronics will give a presentation and post the presentation material
on its website on May 11.
