Business Customers Get More Byte for Their Buck with Sprint Mobile Broadband Connection Plan
Corporate Liable Customers on Sprint $39.99 Connection Plan Enjoy at Least Double the Megabytes and Pay Less Than Half the Overage Charged by AT&T and Verizon.
OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-- If great value means getting twice as much for every dollar, Sprint (NYSE:S) now offers industry-best value for business users who need fast and dependable mobile broadband at the lowest monthly rate available. Mobile broadband is a critical tool to help employees stay productive and access business information from virtually wherever they are, and be responsive to customer needs.
Sprint today announces its $39.99 Connection Plan for Corporate Liable accounts, providing 500 MB of data monthly – two to 10 times what Verizon and AT&T, respectively, offer for a similar price. In addition, customers pay only 5 cents per for each additional megabyte of usage, which is less than half what the competition’s $39.99 plan charges for overage.*
“Sprint saw a clear need for a plan that meets the needs of Corporate Liable business users whose data usage is moderate, while providing superior value,” said Tim Donahue, vice president-business marketing, Sprint. “No matter how much data they typically use, business users need to know they’ll have all the mobile broadband bytes they need at a reasonable price. The Sprint $39.99 Connection Plan fulfills that need for lower volume users.”
This plan is available with all devices in the Mobile Broadband device portfolio, including the new Sprint Mobile Hotspot, the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200. Available now online, in retail stores and through select channels, the MiFi creates a personal cloud of high-speed Internet connectivity that can be easily shared among up to five users and a variety of WiFi-enabled devices. Sprint also is first in the United States to support MiFi’s GPS capabilities, allowing users to take advantage of select location and mapping applications.
Currently available only to Corporate Liable customers through Sprint’s Business Direct channel, the $39.99 Connection Plan adds to Sprint’s extensive portfolio of competitive mobile broadband connection plans, devices, services and applications. Sprint plans to extend this Corporate Liable offer to additional channels (such as indirect, business partners and retail) this summer.
Sprint mobile broadband is delivered on America’s most dependable 3G network** and is offered to business and public sector customers through the company’s new Business Markets Group (BMG). Formed in March 2009 and composed of more than 4,000 sales, support, marketing and operations personnel, BMG is dedicated solely to business and governments users of communications services. The $39.99 Connection Plan builds on BMG’s commitment to value at a time when economic pressures make it especially important to business customers. According to CIO Insight magazine’s 2008 Vendor Value Survey, U.S.-based IT executives rank Sprint as the top wireless vendor for value.
In addition to the new $39.99 option for Corporate Liable customers, Sprint also offers a $59.99 3G Connection Plan and a $79.99 3G/4G Connection Plan to all business and consumer customers. The 3G/4G Connection Plan provides access to turbo-charged 4G service to customers in Baltimore today and more markets later this year. Sprint offers the first and only wireless 4G network from a national carrier*** and has extended its 4G leadership by announcing the launch of the next-generation service in markets across the country.
