The number of points of Wi-Fi online Comstar-FON in Moscow has reached thousands
Comstar UTS, the operator of integrated telecommunications services in Russia and the CIS, announced that the number of access points Wi-Fi-network «Comstar-FON» in Russia has reached thousands. The service was launched in commercial operation in late 2008.
«Comstar-FON» - a network of wireless broadband Internet access technology based on Wi-Fi, which is part of a global network of FON, which has to date over 500 thousand active access points worldwide. The exclusive operator of the Russian segment of Wi-Fi-network FON advocates «Comstar UTS». The network «Comstar-FON» to build and expand through the very people who are in the rental and set in a dedicated Wi-Fi-router. These subscribers were able to use the same hot-spot FON, set by other FON users around the world, including all points of the network «Comstar-FON».
For service «Comstar-FON» can connect subscribers of broadband Internet access «Comstar UTS» Moscow (trademark STRIM). This service is provided jointly with the Spanish company FON Wireless Limited.
In the future, «Comstar UTS» plans to bring services to connect its partners - dealers, which connects Moscow STRIM broadband access services, as well as the use of its subsidiary MGTS. In addition, in the near future «Comstar UTS» submit telecommunications market ADSL-modem router with integrated FON. Thus, for new users STRIM to simplify the process of connecting to the network «Comstar-FON».
