Palm Pre UI Makes Multi-tasking Simpler
OVERLAND PARK, Kan., -- Sprint (NYSE: S), purveyors of the Palm(R) Pre(TM) phone and America's most dependable 3G network*, is changing the way its customers multi-task.
Through the innovative Palm Pre user interface -- and Sprint's webOS -- customers can easily switch between active applications without having to open and close each one individually. This "deck of cards" approach to handling and navigating applications allows users who are multi-tasking on Palm Pre to act on their needs more quickly. In addition, Palm Pre customers can also take advantage of a wide range of features designed to create a seamless user experience, including:
-- Touch-screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard for multiple typing options
-- Palm Synergy, which allows users to link contacts from a variety of
sources, as well as layer work and social calendars for an at-a-glance
look at scheduled activities, and combine messaging, so Palm Pre users
can see all of their conversations with the same person in a single
chat-style view
-- Universal search, which offers search results from both the device and
the web for true mobile computing
The Pre also allows customers to access feature-rich content on the Sprint Now Network, including exclusive applications such as Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile Live.
The Palm Pre phone will be available from Sprint on June 6 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with new two year agreement on an Everything Plan with data or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan. Terms and conditions apply.
