Samsung Omnia II released in Singapore

The Samsung Omnia II has finally hit the streets in Singapore today. Singapore Telco M1 has a promotion on at Bugis Junction. I have a hands-on with it there. I must say it is an excellent Windows Mobile Phone. The 3D Cube, Widgets and Touchwiz winterface are very impressive. It also a a good Task Manager, and auto focus camera. The large 3.7 inch AMOLED screen is bright and brilliant even in daylight in Bugis Junction. The touch screen and UI are fast and responsive. Like the iPhone it has a large menu button at the bottom in the shape of a diamond. The virtual keypad was large and easy to type with fingers unlike the small one in Diamond 2 which typing with finger is often hit and miss. The price is also very competitive, at S$538 for an average 2 years plan. The Samsung commercial for Omnia II flashing on TV screens in Singapore is also very impressive.
