Microsoft announced a mobile service OneApp

Microsoft introduced OneApp - application and service for mobile phones, which provide access to a catalog of games and useful programs, including Facebook, Twitter, and Windows Live Messenger. OneApp focuses on functional phones, so-called "feature phones", instead of smartphones and communicators. Service is compatible with models of Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Naturally, the traditional mobile phone market is broader than "smart", so Microsoft decided to embrace it as well.

Microsoft is planning to launch OneApp in several developing countries. For example, subscribers of the South African operator of Blue Label Telecoms is already available as free downloads on their phones annex OneApp. Installation requires only 150 KB of free memory. In the catalog there are already several programs. SDK for OneApp come closer to the end of the year and the directory will be updated. Expanding the geography of service is planned for next year.
