ZTE sees both revenues and profits grow over 40% in 1H09

China-based telecom solution provider ZTE has posted revenues of 27.71 billion yuan (US$4.06 billion) and net profits of 780 million yuan for the first half of 2009, up 40.4% and 40.5%, respectively, from a year earlier, according to a company press release.

Revenues generated from the domestic market in China reached 14.95 billion yuan in the first half, increasing 111.7% on year, whereas revenues generated from abroad edged up 0.7% on year to 12.76 billion yuan, the company said.

Net earnings per share stood at 0.45 yuan in the first half of 2009 compared to 0.32 yuan a year earlier, the company added.
