AT&T Brings Portfolio of Advanced Application Services to Customers in Mexico

AT&T* presented in Mexico its portfolio of advanced application services during its customer event "The Collaboration Revolution: The AT&T Approach to Unified Communications," fostering the discussion on how companies in Mexico and around the world are utilizing application services over IP networks to increase productivity and efficiencies through improved collaboration among operations spanning multiple locations.

"We are pleased to bring to customers in Mexico, a complete portfolio of advanced IP-based application services that allow them to integrate various forms of communications which result in greater collaboration among workers, customers and partners," said Walter Bona, sales center vice president for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, AT&T Business Solutions. "IP communication and collaboration tools are key to achieving cost-efficiencies in today's business environment to increase business productivity and minimize travel costs."

During the event, AT&T evidenced the advantages and flexibility of the core application services of AT&T Business Solutions portfolio made available to clients in Mexico in cooperation with a local telecommunications supplier: including AT&T Connect®, AT&T Managed IP Telephony services and AT&T Telepresence Solution.

AT&T Connect unifies audio conferencing, web conferencing and video conferencing into a single, company-wide collaboration tool. Its rich features and unique hosted/hybrid/on-premises deployment possibilities scale to meet the needs of any type of business — from small to very large, multinational corporations. It supports virtual meetings with both internal and external participants. It includes a wide range of features, including standalone audio conferencing, multi-point video, regular/mobile phone and Voice over Computer-based audio, application sharing, whiteboard/presentation, web touring, polling, reporting, recording and editing — plus more.
AT&T's Managed IP Telephony services provide businesses with a complete IP telephony solution that gives their employees consistent service no matter where they are. Offering a wide array of solutions, from premises-based IP PBXs to centralized network-based IP Telephony platforms, AT&T helps companies around the world to evolve to the next generation of converged, IP-based communications through in-depth infrastructure assessments as well as the design, deployment and on-going management of the communications environment.
AT&T Telepresence Solution creates a unique, "in-person" experience with the simplicity of making a phone call as well as provides a "meet me" feature with a highly-secure PIN code that simplifies intercompany calling. AT&T Telepresence Solution also offers multipoint functionality and reliable intercompany capabilities enabling multiple locations to connect with one another. The AT&T Telepresence Solution includes installation, full monitoring and management of the application, remote help desk service and on-site equipment maintenance and repair, and works over AT&T Virtual Private Network transport. Multiple three-screen and one-screen site options are available.
"As businesses are required to maintain technical expertise and best-in-class technology to deliver on user expectations, they are increasingly moving into a service model to extend their in-house resources with third party resources and expertise," said Bennett Ruiz, AT&T's executive director, Global Signature Marketing. "Moving to a hosted or managed service model can yield to operating cost savings and allow faster provisioning of new services into Latin America and the Caribbean."
