China market: Sales of TD-SCDMA chipsets exceed 5 million units

Sales of TD-SCDMA chipsets in the China market exceeded five million units as of the end of August 2009, according to Yang Ye, secretary general of the TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance.

Meanwhile, the number of TD-SCDMA CPE products that have secured a network access license increased to 180 at the end of August compared to 130 at the end of May, whereas sales of TD-SCDMA CPE products doubled to two million units during the three-month period, Yang added.
