CPT lands Nokia handset panel orders, says paper

Taiwan-based LCD panel maker Chunghwa Picture Tube (CPT) has landed orders from Nokia for 2-inch entry-level to mid-range handset panels, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

The report indicated that CPT was able to receive the orders from Nokia mainly due to the panel maker's strategic alliance with Compal Elecronics to develop 2-inch entry-level to mid-range handset panels.

CPT declined to comment on the report.
