G2 Expands Global Planning Capability; Jim Taylor Named Global Communications Planning Director
Joins Leading Marketing Services Agency from Mediaedge:cia in Newly Created Position.
NEW YORK, -- G2, a top five global marketing communications agency, announced that Jim Taylor has been appointed to the newly created position of Global Communications Planning Director. Reporting directly to Jonathan Dodd, G2's Global Director of Strategy, Taylor will be responsible for driving G2's communications planning offer across key clients and the G2 international network.
Taylor is one of the world's leading authorities on communications planning. He has worked in both the UK and South Africa, for Ogilvy & Mather and McCann Erickson. In 1998, whilst in South Africa, he co-founded Nota Bene, a highly-regarded and successful strategic communications planning agency. Most recently he was Communications Planning Director and Retail Director, EMEA for Mediaedge:cia (MEC) - where he pioneered their global planning process in addition to setting up the agency's European division of their trade and shopper marketing offer, MEC Retail. An acclaimed author, Taylor has also published two books; Space Race and more recently Rigorous Magic - both on the topic of brand communications.
