Huawei and China Mobile Deploy ngHLR Solution to Serve 11 Million People
Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions worldwide, announced, along with partner China Mobile, the deployment of Huawei’s next-generation Home Location Register ("ngHLR”) solution in Shanxi Province, which will service 11 million subscribers in the region. Huawei ngHLR solution was designed to help service providers address the challenge of managing subscriber data with an emphasis on business key performance indicators and evolving mobile network and service technologies.
The Huawei ngHLR, based on the ATCA (Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture) platform, was implemented in Shanxi Province to satisfy the region’s rapid increase in demand for mobile services. Huawei’s ngHLR, which features high capacity, high reliability, advanced architecture and centralized deployment, enabled China Mobile to improve network reliability, unify the management of subscriber information, simplify the maintenance of its network and features, and, ultimately, reduce operating costs. The Huawei ngHLR supports the evolution to USC (Unified Subscriber Center), helping to secure operator’s current investment in convergent technologies.
"Huawei is proud to help China Mobile successfully develop a convergent subscriber data management system,” said Mr. Ding Hao, HLR Marketing Director of Huawei. "As part of Huawei’s unrivaled ecosystem for solutions, Huawei’s ngHLR solution helps operators to improve network efficiency, reduce OPEX and evolve to the next-generation convergence network.”
Huawei’s ngHLR solution services more than 40 operators in 20 countries around the world. To-date, the Huawei ngHLR has achieved a cumulative shipment of 600 million licenses.
