Brda keynote explores “LTE and Mobile WiMAX - Convergence or Competition”
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Home & Networks Mobility business of Motorola, Inc (NYSE: MOT) is showcasing its 4G portfolio of WiMAX and Long Term Evolution (LTE) solutions at 4G World while demonstrating to operators how they can achieve the lowest cost per bit to deliver full suites of voice, video and data wirelessly to fixed, portable and mobile users.
Motorola, a corporate host of 4G World since its start as WiMAX World in 2005, will feature a keynote presentation and power breakfast on Sept. 16. At its booth # 501 in Hall F1, Motorola will feature demos on its WiMAX leadership, LTE solutions portfolio, and give attendees an opportunity to experience commercial WiMAX.
“Motorola provides a full range of solutions that enable the profitable delivery of the personal media experience to, in and beyond the home,” said Fred Gabbard, vice president, product management for Wireless Networks, Motorola’s Home & Networks Mobility. “We do this by leveraging our WiMAX leadership to deliver innovation in our LTE solutions, coupled with our leadership in device and network management to deliver scalable and profitable wireless broadband solutions.”
Bruce Brda, senior vice president and general manager of the Wireless Networks business, will deliver his keynote address, “‘LTE and Mobile WiMAX – Convergence or Competition” on Sept. 16. During his talk, Brda will explore today’s telecommunications industry and the challenges, and possibilities of having two viable next-generation technologies in the marketplace.
