Vodafone 3G Mobile Broadband Hotspot
Europe : Vodafone 3G Mobile Broadband got a boost today with the introduction of Vodafone Mobile Broadband Hotspot ( see above for the device photo ). This will offer 3G mobile broadband benefits to Vodafone customers who have a Wi-Fi enabled laptop.
Every Vodafone customer will be able to connect a number of devices via the Vodafone Mobile Broadband Hotspot as long as you have a 3G Mobile Broadband signal and the Mobile Broadband Hotspot device. No software is required.
The Mobile Broadband Hotspot device itself is the size of a credit card and can relay the 3G mobile network signal to Wi-Fi enabled devices such as a laptop or MP3 player.
As soon as the Mobile Broadband Hotspot is powered up users will be able locate their Wi-Fi enabled devices within a range of 10 meters and connect up to five devices. Speeds of up to 7.2 Megabytes download speed can be achieved and 5.7 Megabytes upload speed between the Mobile Broadband Hotspot and the 3G Mobile network.
The Mobile Broadband Hotspot has a microSD slot for up to 16GB of additional memory enabling it store music, documents etc. The Mobile Broadband Hotspot is manufactured by Novatel Wireless.
