AT&T Customers Get More Mobile Broadband Coverage in Denver and Along the Front Range

New Cell Sites Activated as Part of Ongoing AT&T Investment in Local Wireless Network.

As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications, AT&T* announced the activation of new 3G cell sites in Aurora, Boulder, Brighton, Castle Rock, Denver, Erie, Evergreen, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Morrison, Parker, and Thornton that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses.

The new cell sites are one part of AT&T’s ongoing efforts to drive innovation and extend its 3G wireless network – the fastest in the nation, according to independent testing. It is also part of AT&T’s ongoing investment to build the broadband networks that will fuel economic growth and create jobs, and enable the its customers to quickly access the content, applications and services that matter most to them.

"Investing and expanding the wireless network in both rural and urban areas across Colorado is a priority for us in 2009," said Bill Soards, president of AT&T Colorado. "Today's announcement is one of many investments that we are making across the state to deliver dependable wireless access in Colorado."

These cell sites expand wireless coverage in the following areas:

Aurora – Located near the 6th Avenue and Del Mar Circle area, this site covers north towards 11th Avenue, south toward Alameda Avenue, east toward I-225 and west toward Moline Street.
Boulder – Located near the 95th and Arapahoe Road intersection in Boulder County, this site enhances coverage north toward Blue Heron Way, south toward South Boulder Road, east toward Highway 287 and west toward Park Lane Drive.
Brighton – Located just north of the I-76 and Bromley Lane exit, this site expands coverage north along I-76 toward the Lockbuie exit, south along I-76 toward 136th Avenue, east along Bridge Street and west toward Telluride Street.
Castle Rock – Located east of Founders Parkway and Crowfoot Valley Road, this site enhances coverage north along Sapphire Point Boulevard and Diamond Ridge Parkway, south past Founders Parkway along Ridge Road toward Wildon Creek Road and west along Founders Parkway toward Trail Boss Drive.
Denver – The E-470 and 38th Avenue site expands coverage north toward 56th Avenue, south toward 32nd Parkway, east toward E-470 and west toward the 48th Avenue and Kirk Street intersection. The I-70 and Stapleton site enhances coverage north toward I-70, south toward Colfax Avenue, east toward Havana Street and west toward Wabash Street.
Erie – Located just south of the Perry Street exit on I-25, this site covers north to the Erie exit, south toward Johnson Lane, east toward County Road 13 and west to County Road 7.
Evergreen – The Evergreen Parkway and Stagecoach site enhances coverage along both roads.
Highlands Ranch – The Highlands Ranch West site is located south of the Highlands Ranch Town Center and enhances coverage north towards Highlands Ranch Parkway and Broadway intersection, south toward Wildcat Reserve Parkway and Hyacinth Road intersection, east toward Venneford Ranch and west toward the Wildcat Reserve and Highlands Ranch Parkway intersection. The Dad Clark site enhances coverage north toward University and E-470, south toward University and White Bay Road, east toward the Venneford Ranch and Red Tail Road intersection and west toward Homestead. The Highlands Ranch Parkway and Venneford Ranch Road site enhances coverage north toward Maplewood Drive, south toward Gateway Drive, east toward University Boulevard and west toward Gateway Drive. The Broadway and Wildcat site adds coverage north along Broadway toward Gateway Drive, east toward Summit View and west toward Royal Eagle Road. The Fairview and Wildcat site adds coverage north along Fairview toward Summit View Parkway and along Wildcat Reserve Parkway toward Arrowhead Drive, south toward Valleybrook and Shadowbrook Circles, east along Poston Parkway and west along Wildcat Reserve Parkway toward Summit View Parkway.
Lone Tree – This site is located north of the Lincoln and Yosemite intersection and adds coverage north toward Heritage Hills Parkway, south toward Bluffs Regional Park, east to I-25 and west to Lone Tree Parkway.
Morrison – Located just south of Morrison on Highway 8, this site covers north along Highway 8 and Highway 93, east toward E-470 and west past Morrison on Highway 74.
Parker – The Parker South site is located near Parker Road and Hilltop Road and improves coverage north toward Homestead Road and Pine Drive, south toward Hess Road, east just past Canterberry Parkway and west toward Parker Road. The Pinery South site is located near Parker Road and Bayou Gulch Road and expands coverage north toward Scott Road, south toward Castle Oaks Drive, east toward Flintwood Road and west toward Pradera Parkway.
Thornton – The 136th and Corona site covers north toward 144th Avenue, south toward 120th Avenue, east just past York Street and west past Washington Street. The 112th and Cherry site covers north toward 120th Avenue, south toward 108th Avenue, east just past Holly Street and west toward Colorado Boulevard. The 124th and Steele site adds improved coverage north toward Cottonwood Lakes Boulevard, south toward 121st Avenue, east toward Dahlia Way and west toward Josephine Street.
