Chunghwa Telecom posts profit for January-September 2009

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has reported unaudited net profit of NT$3.685 billion (US$112 million) for September 2009, with January-September net profit of NT$33.247 billion translating into an EPS of NT$3.42.

CHT said it had about 1.51 million FTTx (fiber to the home/building) subscribers and 400,000 ADSL subscribers at download speeds of 8Mbps or above as of the end of September 2009.

Taiwan Mobile (TWM) and Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) have also released their financial figures for September.
