MGTS Moscow will establish 500 more "social" universal payphones
Moscow City Telephone Network, a wholly owned subsidiary of Comstar-UTS, has won the tender for the Federal Communications Agency for the provision of universal telephone services in Moscow.
Under the terms of competition, MGTS within 6 months set in Moscow, 500 universal payphones. Universal payphones - a social project, which is developing in Russia under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications, through which residents of cities and villages of the country are able to use modern info-communications services.
Previously, MGTS had already established 125 universal payphones in each of the districts of Moscow. Additional 500 units will be located in places where services Payphone respect the most in demand. Primarily, this major transportation hubs: railway and auto-stations, airports, metro stations, large shopping centers.
A distinctive feature of the universal payphones is that it can do its central office and long distance call, but also take a free incoming call. Individual number to call is displayed on each payphone. Intrazone tariff for calls from payphones is 57 kopecks. per minute.
Payphones will be to accept universal cards, valid throughout the territory of Russia and which can be purchased at the location of payphones.
