AT&T and Kore Telematics Team to Simplify M2M Device Network Certification Process
AT&T* announced enhancements that simplify the on-boarding of non-stocked machine-to-machine (M2M) devices onto the AT&T network through an expanded relationship with KORE Telematics. KORE Telematics is AT&T’s largest Value Added Reseller of M2M network services.
AT&T and KORE will provide a streamlined network certification flow for inbound non-stocked M2M devices from device manufacturers wishing to receive product approval for the AT&T network. For integrators, moving from independent self-reliant certification to the KORE on-boarding process will shorten development timelines, reduce cost and complexity through consistent exchange of information between integrators and AT&T before lab entry and during the testing phase.
AT&T and KORE have selected the FL1850v2 telematics device from Fleetilla, LLC as the first product to be piloted through this new on-boarding process. ”We are happy to be part of this effort by KORE and AT&T. This new streamlined certification process eliminates many uncertainties in the product development roadmap and will significantly improve the time-to-deployment for vertical M2M device manufacturers,” said Pradeep P. Kumar, President and CEO of Fleetilla, LLC.
“AT&T is driving wireless capabilities into a wide variety of devices beyond traditional handsets for businesses,” said Chris Hill, vice president, mobility product management, AT&T Business Solutions. “Leveraging our global network, service delivery platforms, and expertise, we are enabling the deployment of M2M solutions that fit our customers’ needs across a range of industries and accelerating time-to-revenue for our customers and partners. Working with KORE Telematics, we can bring even more non-stocked M2M devices onto the AT&T network in an efficient manner.”
KORE has fine-tuned the process of Network Certification to include the streamlining of customer pre-qualification, creating a management base for integrators utilizing common module platforms and full understanding of AT&T’s approval process. This will benefit device integrators by providing a clear and concise channel to funnel M2M integrated products into AT&T.
"KORE Telematics consistently works to simplify and improve time to market – which means time to revenue for an ASP partner – while ensuring the utmost reliability and long-term serviceability of their applications" said Alex Brisbourne, COO of KORE Telematics Inc. “With the launch of this new, streamlined certification process to our Integrators with AT&T, it is a further step in promoting energy and growth on the M2M space.”
