AT&T U-verse TV Multiview Wins TelcoTV Vision Award for Service Provider Innovation
The TelcoTV Conference and Expo has honored AT&T* with a TelcoTV Vision Award for AT&T U-verse TVSM Multiview. The TelcoTV Vision Awards honor innovation and vision in new products, services and applications from the communications industry.
The Vision Award winners were announced Nov. 11 at the 2009 TelcoTV Conference and Expo in Orlando, Fla. U-verse TV Multiview won in the Service Provider Innovation category. This is the second year in a row AT&T U-verse has received a TelcoTV Vision Award. In 2008, AT&T U-verse Total Home DVR also won the Service Provider Innovation category.
U-verse TV Multiview gives customers the ability to watch up to four channels at one time and select which channel is the main picture with audio. Viewers can choose from a variety of channels by sports, news and kids programming genres, and can select and schedule recordings without exiting the app.
“We're proud to receive this award because it honors innovations that enhance what consumers can do with their entertainment experience, and that's exactly what we've set out to do with U-verse TV,” said Jeff Weber, vice president of video services for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. “U-verse TV Multiview is just one of several advanced applications we've made available to all of our customers at no extra charge this year, and we've gotten great feedback from our customers.”
AT&T U-verse TV is the only 100 percent Internet Protocol-based television (IPTV) service offered by a national service provider, making AT&T U-verse one of the most dynamic and feature-rich services available today. AT&T U-verse TV ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction in the South and West Regions Two Years in a Row,” according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2008 and 2009 Residential Television Service Provider Satisfaction StudiesSM.
