Nokia N900 is available for purchase to U.S. citizens
Company Nokia announced the beginning of sales today of its touch Internet device Nokia N900 Linux-based operating system, Maemo. The cost of this decision is currently $ 649 and it is already available in flagship stores in New York and Chicago, as well as the company's website and in the independent retail and various online retailers, including Amazon.com.

Recall that the Nokia N900 positioned as a mobile computer with software (Maemo 5) open source software based on Linux, it provides a functional, similar to a desktop computer. As the manufacturer claims, precisely because of its operating system, Nokia N900 offers users the opportunity to work with multiple applications open at one time while in full use of cellular, touch screen and full-size QWERTY-keyboard.

I’d rather wait for a non-cellphone-radio Internet Tablet version to use as a pocket computer. Why pay the extra $300 just to have a radio for a provider I don’t even use?
