Company J'son & Partners Consulting summarized studies Russia's cellular market by the end of October 2009 In his study, the company notes that in October 2009, the number registered in Russia SIM-cards has grown to 205.1 million level of penetration in whole of Russia amounted to 144,4%, and in the Moscow license area (Meuse) - 186,8%.
Cumulative growth of subscriber base of Russian operators in October 2009 totaled 1.3 million (0.65%). In October 2009 the monthly growth rate dropped to 48,1% compared with October 2008 (-1.2 million).
Over the past 12 months the total subscriber base of Russian operators increased by 23,6 million (+13,0%). On October 31, 2009 first place on this indicator in the all-Russia scale is MTS (6.6 million), second place - MegaFon (6.5 million), third - VimpelCom (5.1 million).
Highest rate of growth of subscribers in 3 months demonstrated Tele2 (9,3%) and MegaFon (5.2%).
