Insider Leaks New Samsung Google Android Smartphone
SEOUL, South Korea - Insider and journalist Eldar Murtazin has apparently trialled the upcoming Google Android smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy2, and enjoyed the experience.
According to Murtazin, the handset will feature a 4" AMOLED touchscreen, 32GB of internal memory, and "some Samsung services". The smartphone will run on the new Android 2.1 version of the open-source platform.
The first Galaxy model, i7500 (pictured), was a high-end Android smartphone with a 5 megapixel camera, 8GB internal memory and microSD memory card support, a 3.2" touchscreen display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, HSPA connectivity, and it ran on the Android 1.5 version. The second version, i5700 Galaxy Spica, contained less powerful features: a 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD memory card support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, HSDPA, microSD memory card support, and the same version of Android as the i7500..
The Samsung Galaxy2 will, reportedly, be launching in the second quarter of 2010.
