MTS and Nokia Siemens Networks created the first in Ukraine a single converged network VPN
The mobile operator MTS Ukraine and the company Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) today announced the launch of a project to build Ukraine's first converged solution for Virtual Private Networks (VPN, Virtual Private Networks) with the ability to access them using different technologies.
As the company said, the introduction of this technology will allow corporate employees to access private networks VPN client with virtually any wired or wireless technology. In particular, such access can be provided through fixed line telephony, 3G, VoIP, Wi-Fi or other technologies.
Under the agreement NSN will develop and provide the operator complete solution for deploying enterprise fixed telephone networks, VPN-based Private Branch Exchange (PBX) that supports the system of abbreviated dialing within the client company. Subject of the contract includes the supply of product (software solutions for fixed switches, and VPN platform with support for PBX) and service parts.
Among the new features that may be available for corporate clients:
• The use of a simplified set of (short numbers) for both fixed and mobile numbers (in the perspective of the service can operate in roaming, if the foreign operator will sign a agreement).
• Call forwarding on busy signal, with no response, according to the established priorities of the corporation, depending on the date, time, day of week, etc.
• Transfer of calls to another subscriber.
• Removal of the tube for another subscriber (the interception of call).
• Group calls and much more.
The first test call to the network VPN FMC MTS plans to make in the first quarter of 2010.
