New iPhone to launch by April?
The new iPhone, iPhone 4, iPhone 4G: call it what you will, but few would bet against it arriving this year. But could it appear sooner than expected? A new rumour pegs its for a much earlier release than before.
According to a report published by The Korea Times today, the new iPhone 4 (Or 4G as it refers to the model) will pack an OLED screen, a “better” camera and live video chatting enabled. It could appear as soon as April, a high ranking Korean network executive told the publication.
The report goes on to say that the onslaught of Android phones is the cause of Apple bringing the iPhone 4 launch forward. Intriguing eh? We’d love to think that a new iPhone could be barely over 100 days away, but while the rumoured specs make sense, we’d still take the claim with an unhealthy dose of salt, not least because it includes a purported quote from an Apple representative. Last time we checked, Apple didn’t talk about future products. Ever.
Still, with just a few months for Apple to get its R&D out of the way before Summer, don’t be surprised if more iPhone 4 rumours don’t start falling through the grapevine very soon.
