Sony Ericsson Web App Challenge
The Sony Ericsson Web App Challenge offers you the chance to show off what’s possible with the Sony Ericsson WebSDK.
The 2009/2010 Mavericks Surf Contest® Presented by Sony Ericsson.
Mavericks is a world-renowned big wave break located one-half mile off the coast of Half Moon Bay, California. Enter the quick-start Mavericks part of our challenge and you could win a seat in the lead boat – the best and most exciting way to watch the action.
We asked Digital Dandelion to build an application around the event. In just a few days it was ready, bringing together real time information, weather, twitter feeds and more.
We challenge you to hack on, tear apart, and otherwise improve the sample Mavericks app before the surfing starts.
Be quick! The competition takes place at 24 hour’s notice and only Mother Nature knows when the wave will come.
Best Web App Challenge
Download the WebSDK and make something fantastic for the XPERIA™ X10 by December 31. Get a head-start with the short tutorials we are giving at our booth, #917. We will also be posting tutorials at developer.sonyericsson.com to help you along after the Web 2.0 show.
Choose any subject you like – surprise us with your creativity!
The first prize will be $4000, the opportunity to show your stuff to Sony Ericsson management, and a charter membership of our Hero developer program.
