Taiwan market: 3.5G data card users double in 2009
The number of 3.5G data card users in Taiwan doubled to 660,000 at the end of 2009 compared to 330,000 a year earlier, according to data compiled by Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC).
Subscribers to fixed line broadband services such as cable and FTTx also continued to grow in 2009 albeit at a slow pace, but the number of subscribers using ADSL for Internet access suffered a decline, NCC data showed.
