“[Kievstar]”: the results of 1 quarters of 2010

The Ukrainian operator of the mobile connection “Of [kievstar]” declared the results of his activity for the 1st quarter of 2010, where the key indices of activity in 1 sq. 2010 g. in the comparison with the previous periods appear as follows:

Dynamics of the motion of the basic indices:

* Market share in the incomes remains highest on the market, but somewhat was reduced in comparison with the 1st and 4th quarters of 2009. In this case the common penetration of mobile connection in the Ukraine also was reduced - by 0,5% in comparison with the previous block, to level 119,7%.
* Income - decrease in the comparison with the 1st and 4th quarters of 2009 it is connected with the factor of seasonality and the introduction of measures for the stabilization of user base in the low-price segment.
* The user base “Of [kievstar]” - stably remains largest on the market. The gradual reduction of [abonbazy], which was observed in 2009, in the 1st quarter of 2010 was stabilized - during 1 quarters 2010 g. it composed only of 88 thousand subscribers. Molodezhnaya segment as before remains most mobile. In this case the starting of new tariff proposals “ring by all”, “common price”; also conversion on a constant basis of action tariff plans “is more than contact” and “best”, they reduced to a minimum the total volume of turning offs and user base was stabilized.
* ARPU - average monthly income from one subscriber in the 1st quarter 2010 g in comparison with 1 quarter 2009 g., as a whole, is stable. The lower index of the 1st quarter of the present year to 4 quarters of 2009 is connected with the seasonal reasons (smaller consumption in January and the smaller quantity of days in February), and also with the migration of subscribers to the more economical tariff proposals. But already in March 2010. is observed increase ARPU.
* MOU - a average monthly quantity of minutes of ether time by one subscriber increased in comparison with the previous periods in essence due to an increase in the traffic into [prepeyde], caused by the migration of subscribers to the new tariff plans in the mass and youth segments.
