Vanessa Aiello Joins RPMC as Client Services Director
Former Senior IOC Marketing Exec Will Lead Key Global Client Relationships.
LONDON -- Vanessa Aiello joins RPMC (www.rpmc.com) as Client Services Director. The appointment was announced by Paul Kingsley, CEO of RPMC Europe. Ms. Aiello will operate out of London and be charged with leading key global client relationships for RPMC, whose clients include McDonald's, Sony Ericsson, Sony and AB InBev.
"Vanessa's appointment will help ensure that we continue to develop a first class service for our clients, at a time when they are looking for increased cost efficiencies and enhanced returns on their marketing and sponsorship investment," said Mr. Kingsley. "Vanessa will work across the business, but will also provide leadership on existing and new client programs for the London 2012 Olympics Games."
Additionally, Ms. Aiello is responsible for developing a strong consulting-led approach to engaging with clients within RPMC so as to maximize their brand activation strategies.
Commenting on the appointment, Jay Lenstrom, CEO of Red Peak Group, said: "Vanessa has invaluable experience in sports related business and marketing. She is truly global in outlook and will be a most valuable asset to our clients. We're delighted to welcome her to our growing, global team."
With more than a decade of international marketing experience, Ms. Aiello has held business development and brand advertising posts in Europe, Japan and Canada. Fluent in Japanese, she has worked on a range of key development areas with brand sponsors ranging from sustainability to digital. Most recently, she served as Manager, Partnership Marketing for the International Olympic Committee (IOC), where she was responsible for overseeing the IOC's relationship with four of the nine worldwide partners—Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Omega and Atos Origin. During her tenure at the IOC, Ms. Aiello led the development of McDonald's Champion Kids Program—its first global marketing program related to the Olympic Games that enabled over 200 kids from 40 countries the opportunity to travel to experience the Games, meet Olympic athletes, visit cultural sights and interact with kids from across the globe.
"RPMC is uniquely positioned to build unparalleled brand experiences for its clients," said Ms. Aiello. "I look forward to playing a key role in delivering tangible results for clients and strengthening RPMC's longstanding reputation as an innovator in the space."
Prior, Ms. Aiello oversaw marketing and advertising initiatives for Procter & Gamble's prestige skincare line SK-II, while at Dentsu and the Leo Burnett agency Beacon Communications. She holds a MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
