Joint stock company “[VympelKom]” acquires the operator of connection privately held company “[Foratek] Of [kommunikeyshn]”
Company joint stock company “By [vympelKom]”, noted for its brand “Of [bilayn]”, it declared about acquisition by 100% of actions of the closed public company “Of [foratek] Of [kommunikeyshn]”, one of the leading alternative operators of the fixed connection of Ural federal region RF.
The sum of transaction is 1.4 billion rubles, including about 280 mln. rubles, directed for refinancing of the financial obligations of society.
Privately held company “[Foratek] Of [kommunikeyshn]” occupies the leading positions on the market for the integrated services to connection for the corporate clients in the Ural federal region RF. The key active membership of the acquired company is the [mezhdugorodnyaya] main fiber-optic network, which includes more than 1 200 kilometers of its own lines of communications and the covering majority of the key cities of Ural federal region RF. Since 2009. operator approached the realization of strategy of output to the mass market for wide-band Internet access.
