Bertrand Serlet leave Apple

Apple has announced that Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Apple's software for Mac, is leaving the company. Craig Frederick, Apple's vice president for development of software for the Mac, will assume the duties of Searle, working under the leadership of Steve Jobs, the head of corporation Apple. Frederick is responsible for developing Mac OS X, he headed a group developing an operating system over the past two years.

Frederick worked at NeXT, and then at Apple, and then for ten years held various positions in the corporation Ariba, including a vice-president for Internet projects, and Chief Technology Officer. He returned to Apple Inc. in 2009 to lead the direction of development of the operating system Mac OS X.

Serlet joined Apple in 1997 and has contributed significantly to the formation, development and creation of Mac OS X, the most advanced operating system in the world. Prior to joining Apple Serlet spent four years at Xerox PARC, and then joined NeXT in 1989.
