MTS-Ukraine is preparing the network infrastructure for next-generation technologies
The mobile operator MTS Ukraine obyavbl the completion of the first phase of the project to transfer its CDMA base station to a single IP-infrastructure (All-IP), without which, he argues, can not go to the fourth generation of communications technology.
The operator said that has translated a number of base stations of CDMA, located in Kiev, Ethernet Backhaul, providing a single multi-structure of the All-IP network for this fragment.
In networks that support multi-service solution to All-IP, absolutely all data sent over IP-protocol. It provides higher throughput and stability of the network to the loads, allowing you to run resource-intensive services such as Internet TV and video on demand. Among other advantages of All-IP - reducing maintenance costs.
Later MTS plans to introduce All-IP solution based on existing technological resources and in other regional offices. MTS partner and supplier in this project is Alcatel-Lucent.
