Nokia has patented a two tablet-style Nokia N8
While information on the possible release of tablets from Nokia comes the most controversial, demonstrating the uncertainty management in need of this step, it became known that at least two models have been officially patented. Both patents were published by the Office for Patent and Trademark Office last Tuesday. Both models represent typical style solution is already on the market of devices with full touch screen control and occupy the entire front panel. Patent D634, 317 in exactly the same design of modern Symbian-smartphones, such as was used in the creation of Nokia N8 and E7. Second, the patent number D634, 318, is somewhat different, having a U-shaped rear panel, but also basically repeats the design of smart companies.
Both patents show the presence of at least one navigational key, which is similar to the information available to devices running Symbian. Should appear to be similar to the expansion slots available for the PC. Dotted lines show the connections among which we can suggest a couple of USB-ports, card reader and HDMI-out. Obviously, that will be standard audio jack 3,5 mm.
The very presence of a patent issued by the Office for Patent and Trademark Office does not say that the product release is planned with any certainty, but the mere filing of two patent applications on the same day (both filed May 28, 2010) the same Design Group of Britain, said that after the launch of Apple iPad tablet Nokia conducted intensive research on the possibility of issuing its own competitor. Earlier there were rumors that the end of this year will be released tablet running MeeGo. Since then, however, rate the company has undergone a radical change after the deal with Microsoft. At the moment, we know that Nokia substantially revised plans for the device. It is quite possible that the patent for the tablet-style Nokia N8, stayed in the past.
