Beeline began an ambitious modernization of the network in Moscow region
Operator VimpelCom (Beeline brand) announced the launch of a project to upgrade mobile network in the Moscow region. The project aims at increasing the coverage of existing GSM network and the deployment of 3G networks in the Moscow region by replacing the hardware of GSM to next generation equipment on existing positions as well as building new base stations.
The upgrade will be implemented in two stages: first in the cities of Moscow region in turn will be installing new equipment from Huawei, and debug uptime network standard, GSM, and then gradually will be the inclusion of services 3G.
Replacement of equipment involves a short-term shutdown of base stations and their subsequent parametric debugging, in connection with this the day of the work in the settlements * may reduce the quality of service within 4 hours. About the work on the network people will be informed through local media, as well as through targeted SMS-mailing.
Network upgrades in the field will be held on schedule in each of the districts of Moscow region and will be completed in early 2012. The result of the entire project will be a full 3G network coverage throughout the Moscow region.
