Arun Bhikshesvaran appointed new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Starts his new role on July 1st, 2011
Arun Bhikshesvaran has been appointed Head of marketing and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC). He is currently Vice President Strategy and Marketing in region North America at Ericsson.
Jan Wäreby, Senior Vice President, head of Sales and Marketing, says: “Arun is a capable and respected member of our global marketing community. He has worked in the North American market for many years where we have seen new consumer habits and business needs develop from the intersection of broadband, mobility and cloud-based offerings. He also has a deep understanding of new, digital media and social networks, which is an environment that will be very important to our marketing efforts going forward. Arun will help us to make the transition from being purely a telecoms supplier to one of a trusted business partner in the ICT space.”
Bhikshesvaran has more than 15 years of experience in the wireless communications industry. He has been with Ericsson since 1995 in many different positions spanning Research & Development, Project Management and Solutions Management. He holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and has completed Post graduate executive programs in general management and business marketing at Columbia Business School and Kellogg respectively. He will start his new role on July 1st 2011.
