Radio Shack confirms HTC EVO 3D price: $199.99 with contract, $499.99 without
The HTC EVO 3D's release date may still be up for debate, but according to this Radio Shack ad that landed in my inbox this morning, some other details are looking rock solid.
First there's the price: $199.99 with new or upgrade two-year contract and $499.99 for the phone alone. The $10 monthly Premium Data you've grown to accept as part of your EVO 4G ownership will also be a part of your life with the EVO 3D. Nothing really surprising, but still nice to have confirmed in print.
Next up is something that will be familiar news to anyone who looked through the leaked system dump the other week: a copy of a 3D version of The Green Hornet is preloaded. It was unclear from the dump whether the Green Hornet 3D .apk was a movie or a game, so this ad clears that up for us.
And finally, there are a couple of Radio Shack exclusives: 1) you can trade in your EVO 4G or EVO Shift 4G for $100 toward the price of the EVO 3D and 2) you get a free download of The Black Eyed Peas' "Phenomenon" song.
The radioshack.com/evo3d URL noted at the top the ad isn't live yet, but that's where to go when it is. And in the meantime (and if you haven't done so already), don't forget that you can get your preorder in at Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Sprint.
