40% of European consumers would gain smartphone iPhone
Research firm Yankee Group has published data on the study of preferences in the European market of smartphones. According to our data, we know that the most desirable device is iPhone. It is a product of Apple would like to see their next 40% of smartphone buyers in Europe. For comparison, the next most popular operating system Google Android attracts only half the number of people - only 19% of respondents would choose a smartphone with a "robot". Google, among the losers are RIM, offering smartphones BlackBerry, which would have acquired 17% of buyers and Nokia, Smartphones by which all are welcome to 15%. The study did not spread to all European markets, but has been interviewed more than 5,000 people in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. Notably, the fact that the list of countries surveyed included not only the largest countries in Europe, but also those where the company's position Nokia have been very strong. It is also worth noting that the increase in the popularity of iPhone is due to the generally very conservative European customers, who traditionally prefer not to American vehicles. No less interesting is the fact that in the U.S. Android OS has a leading position, attracting more than a third of all smartphone users. Approximately the same pattern is observed in the rest of the world - Android is about one-third, but Apple is progressing. Nokia is losing ground due to weakening of the popularity of "dead" OS Symbian. Reducing the popularity Android in Europe is important for manufacturers such as HTC and Samsung, which are most dependent on European sales.
