MGTS will introduce a single ten-digit number format in January 2012
The operator of the local wireline - OAO "Moscow City Telephone Network," in vhodyaschiyya MTS Group, said the transition from 10 January 2012 in a single ten-digit dialing format subscribers local telephone network in the Moscow region with a prefix to enter the long distance and international calls.
In accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Communications of Russia from October 30, 2009 № 137 of the transition in the Moscow region on long-term plan of numbering, MGTS will change the dialing of phone numbers of subscribers in the codes "495", "499" and "498".
On January 10, 2012 by dialing the phone, working in any of these codes should be used a single ten-digit format caller's telephone number.
If you are dialing a subscriber in one of these codes, or between these codes in any combination to dial the prefix "8" and ten digits caller's phone number:
8 - (495 / 499 / 498) - XXX XX XX
Telephone connections between the codes "495", "498", "499" will be billed as local. Subscribers connected to the codes "495", "499", "498" with subscribers in the code "496" will be considered long-distance.
The order set by long-distance and international connections, as well as order a set of emergency numbers 01, 02, 03, 04, information services 09 and 009 unchanged.
After January 10, 2012 by dialing in the same format, the subscriber will be notified of the changed rules of recruitment and informed about the new auto-dialing procedure.
As reported earlier, switching to a closed network of MGTS numbering plan will be possible thanks to the completion of the process of digitalization of the network by the end of 2011. At present, transfer the analog segment of the company's digital by using mediators numbering plan - a special set of equipment, interoperable analog switches with IP-networks.
