Samsung Galaxy S II GT I9101 - a simplified version?

Samsung is apparently preparing to release a simplified version of its smartphone Samsung Galaxy S II. This is evidenced in the leaked photos of the informal network and information posted on the Facebook page of Singapore's department of the company. The model has the same name, but its index is different - GT I9101. The Singapore branch of Samsung Mobile has published and some of the technical characteristics of the device, noting that the preliminaries and the final sample of devices may differ significantly from that presented in the present moment, which is only a prototype, designed to give users a general idea about the future of the smartphone.

Reported Samsung Galaxy S II GT I9101 is built on another platform (predpoozhitelno TI OMAP4430), which includes the ARM Cortex-A9 processor with 1 GHz and graphics accelerator PowerVR SGX 540, similar to that used in the original Samsung Galaxy S I9000, while as Samsung Galaxu S II I9100 is based on a platform of Orion with 1.2 GHz processor and a graphics adapter Mali-400MP. Also, instead of Super AMOLED Plus screen is used more low-end solution - Super Clear LCD. Although this change is difficult to call the deteriorating performance, as screens give a different user experience. But the photographic unit has been simplified - no video recording capabilities with a resolution of 1080p and the picture size is not more than 5MP.

With the model i9103, which is already known, the smartphone Samsung Galaxy S II GT I9101 will be available in some markets as a cheaper alternative to the flagship model, the same way as had been withdrawn Samsung Galaxy S i9000 and i9003.
